About "Light & Love for Africa"

“Light & Love for Africa” was created in 2019 with the mission of helping children and women in Africa to get out of poverty by providing them with education, tools, and life-changing skills that will empower them to move from scarcity to auto-sufficiency and freedom.

With a focus on training, education, and emotional support, “Light & Love for Africa” believes that education, training, love, and compassion are the keys that enable children and women to reach their greatest potential and a better future.

“Light & Love for Africa” delivers its program through the generous support of individuals, corporations, and philanthropists.

“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.”

What we do

We work in some of the poorest areas of the world, notably in Africa, to support children in accessing education.

We also work to support and empower marginalized women by offering training that gives them essential tools, thus enabling them to become financially independent.

Because economic empowerment is critical to break free from the cycle of poverty, we offer micro finance to support small business owners and those who need help to start their own businesses.

We believe that every child deserves to have access to food and education.

We believe that changing the lives of children and helping them access education will change the lives of future generations and will make a ripple socioeconomic effect in their communities.

Our Mission

“We rise by lifting others.”

Robert Ingersoll

Where we work

We work in Togo, a small country in West Africa, in some of its remote and isolated villages where populations suffer from poverty and malnutrition and are often unable to gain access to proper education and clean water.

Our program is currently helping children in 10 different villages and locations in Togo.

A few things to know about Togo:

Togo is a small country located in West Africa. Its official language is French, but many dialects are spoken in Togo, with the main dialects being Mina and Ewe.

The economy relies mostly on agriculture and crops of corns, yams, cacaos, wheat, coconuts, etc.

Many families, especially in the rural areas, live on less than two dollars a day.

The capital of Togo is Lomé, which is located in the Atlantic Ocean.
